Men's Basketball Game Against St. Thomas Postponed

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League announced the postponement of the University of North Dakota men's basketball game originally scheduled against St. Thomas (Jan. 15) on Wednesday afternoon. The game has been postponed due to COVID-19 protocols within the St. Thomas program.

The game will attempt to be rescheduled to a later date this season. If the game is unable to be rescheduled, the game will be declared a no contest.

For seeding purposes regarding The Summit League Basketball Championships, if teams have played a different number of League games due to no contests, winning percentage will be used as the first criteria to determine seeds. St. Thomas is not eligible for The Summit League Tournament this season, so the top eight teams in the conference will earn bids to the conference championship tournament at the conclusion of the regular season.

The Fighting Hawks are still scheduled to take on the Fighting Leathernecks on Thursday evening. Opening tip between UND and WIU is scheduled for 7 p.m. (CT) inside the Betty Enegelstad Sioux Center. The game will also be carried on Midco Sports Two and ESPN+, as well as by Paul Ralston's call on the Home of Economy Radio Network.
