NOTES: Hawks Prepare to Host Bobcats and Blue Devils

| By:
GRAND FORKS, N.D. - North Dakota will host Montana State on Sunday afternoon. Opening tip between the Fighting Hawks and Bobcats is slated for 1 p.m. inside the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center. Fans can follow all the action on Midco Sports, as well as by tuning into Paul Ralston's call on the Home of Economy Radio Network (1440 AM).

Series History vs. the Bobcats
Sunday's contest will be the 29th game in the series all-time between North Dakota and Montana State. UND holds a 4-3 edge in the series at home. The last win in the series at home for the Fighting Hawks came on Feb. 1, 2018, when UND upended MSU by a score of 75-74. One month later, the Hawks would win again, 76-74, against the Bobcats in the opening game of Big Sky Tournament. In the most recent game between the two squads, Montana State won 81-76 in Bozeman on Nov. 27, 2018.

Up Next: vs. Wisconsin-Stout
UND will then play Wisconsin-Stout inside the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center on Tuesday night at 7 p.m. That game will be streamed on Midco Sports Plus and also available on the Home of Economy Radio Network (100.3 FM).

Series History vs. the Blue Devils
Tuesday's game will be the first-ever meeting between North Dakota and Wisconsin-Stout. The result will count toward UND's overall record, but not as part of UWS's, as it is an exhibition for the Blue Devils.

Last Time Out
North Dakota went 17-for-20 at the line, including 10-for-13 in the final eight minutes, to defeat Elon 77-73 at the Schar Center on Thursday night.

Both teams faced foul trouble and were in the bonus with eight minutes left in the game. The Fighting Hawks were 12-for-12 at the line late before three missed free throws allowed the Phoenix to claw their way back into the game. Following the missed free throws, UND went 5-for-5 at the charity stripe in the final 30 seconds to hold on for the 77-73 victory.

In the final 30 seconds, Elijah Brooks and B.J. Omot were both 2-for-2 at the stripe.

Mitchell Sueker just missed a double-double, throwing down 15 points and grabbing a game-high nine rebounds. He was a perfect 5-for-5 at the free throw line. Treysen Eaglestaff also netted 15 points, providing a spark for the Fighting Hawks in the first half, coming off the bench and scoring 10 points to lead a 13-3 UND run.
