GRAND FORKS, N.D. - North Dakota will visit Weber State on Saturday in the first round of the FCS playoffs. Kickoff between the Fighting Hawks and Wildcats is scheduled for 3 p.m. (CT) at Stewart Stadium. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and carried on the Home of Economy Radio Network with the pregame show starting at 2 p.m. (CT).

The Fighting Hawks enter the weekend with a 7-4 record and a 5-3 mark in the Missouri Valley Football Conference. North Dakota finished the regular season as the No. 3 team in the conference after falling 42-21 at No. 4 North Dakota State. UND enters the postseason with a 21-15 record in its playoff history, including an 8-7 standing in opening round games. The Fighting Hawks have made the playoffs in three of the last four seasons and were last in the postseason during the 2020-21 season.

The Wildcats come into Saturday with a 9-2 overall record and 6-2 standing in the Big Sky Conference. Weber State ended the regular season as the No. 3 team in the league after defeating Northern Arizona, 33-31, in Flagstaff. WSU's schedule included a 35-7 win over Utah State of the FBS and it was Weber State's first FCS win in 29 years. The Wildcats have made the postseason six times in the last seven years and were last in the postseason during the 2020-21 season.

This will be the sixth all-time meeting between UND and WSU, with Weber State holding a 4-1 lead in the series. In games played in Ogden, North Dakota is 0-2. In the most recent contest between the two squads, the Fighting Hawks fell 30-27 to the Wildcats on Nov. 9, 2019.
