Series History vs. the Titans
Monday marks the second all-time meeting between North Dakota and Detroit Mercy, with the Fighting Hawks holding a 1-0 edge in the series. The teams met last season in the inaugural showdown, with NoDak coming away with a 70-60 victory over the Titans in Detroit.

Maggie Manson poured in 16 points on four made triples while Claire Orth also reached double figures with 13 points, five rebounds, two steals and a block in the winning effort.

Last Time Out: vs. Northern State (Exh.)
Laurie Rogers struck for 21 points on 7-of-10 shooting and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Northern State to an 81-75 victory over North Dakota in exhibition action last Wednesday night from the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.

The Wolves led for nearly 37 minutes of the contest, but North Dakota overcame an 11-point deficit to take the lead twice in the fourth quarter; however, NSU held off the late charge from the Fighting Hawks to come away with the victory.

Home Sweet Home
Opening at home is a rare treat for North Dakota in the Division I era, with Monday marking only the third time this decade the Fighting Hawks have started the campaign on their home floor. UND's last season opener at home was in the wacky 2020-21 season against Marquette on Nov. 29, 2020.

Slow Starts
Getting out to a strong start has been something that has eluded North Dakota recently, as the Hawks are 1-13 all-time in season openers since moving to Division I in 2008-09, including a stretch of 13 straight losses.

NoDak last won a season opener on Nov. 14, 2008 against Eastern Michigan, which was the program's first game as a DI school.
