| By:
GRAND FORKS, N.D. - North Dakota will continue its road slate at Creighton on Thursday night. The Fighting Hawks and Bluejays will battle inside the CHI Health Center Omaha at 8 p.m. Fans can follow all the action by watching on Fox Sports 1, as well as by tuning into Paul Ralston's call on the Home of Economy Radio Network (100.3 FM/104.7 FM).

Series History vs. the Cardinals
The North Dakota and Incarnate Word men's basketball programs have never crossed paths in their histories. This will be the first-ever meeting between the Hawks and the Cardinals.

Series History vs. the Bluejays
This will be the 14th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Creighton. CU holds a 10-3 series lead and won the most recent contest in Omaha by a score of 111-68 on Dec. 5, 2017. The two squads met eight times between 1923-28. Creighton won the opening game of the series on Feb. 12, 1923, when CU defeated UND 23-18.

Paul Sather has coached against the Bluejays twice, both in exhibitions when he was at Northern State. Creighton took both of those contests, winning 79-67 on Nov. 4, 2010 and 89-61 on Nov. 1, 2013.

Greg McDermott is 4-1 against North Dakota. He coached against North Dakota when he was North Dakota State (1-1), Iowa State (2-0) and Creighton (1-0). McDermott was Creighton's head coach in the 111-68 victory over the Fighting Hawks in 2017.

Last Time Out
In a game that featured 18 lead changes and four ties, North Dakota defeated Incarnate Word, 65-57, inside the McDermott Center on Monday.

The Fighting Hawks looked to be in control of the game late after an 18-3 run put UND up 58-47 following a steal and dunk from Elijah Brooks. Four Fighting Hawk turnovers over the next two minutes made the game interesting, with the Cardinals going on a 10-2 run to trim the lead down to 60-57 with 2:01 remaining.

A shot rejection from B.J. Omot helped North Dakota hold a 62-57 lead with 1:28 left. On the next possession, the Hawks missed a triple, but Brady Danielson showed his toughness, grabbing the rebound while being corralled by four Incarnate Word players. Danielson sealed the win with a layup while being fouled and made the and-one free throw to put UND up 65-57 with 31.4 seconds left.

Matt Norman was the leading scorer for NoDak, netting 14 points. He knocked down a game-high three triples while also pulling down five boards.
