North Dakota selected to NCAA Tournament against Notre Dame

Fighting Hawks will head to Albany, N.Y. as No. 2 seed

GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota hockey team is headed to the Empire State to battle Notre Dame in the NCAA Regional in Albany, N.Y. next Thursday at 5 p.m. (CT) on ESPNU. 
This marks the 33rd appearance all-time in the NCAA Tournament for UND and the second straight season. This will also be the first time the Fighting Hawks have not played in a regional located in the state of North Dakota since 2016, when the program captured its eighth national title. 
Thursday will be the 38th all-time meeting between the Fighting Hawks and Fighting Irish, with the series tied at 17-17-3. The two teams have never met in the NCAA Tournament.
