Leading Off
After a tough eight-game stretch in California, the Fighting Hawks are ready to kick off conference play. They went 10-22 in their non-conference schedule. 

They begin the conference slate with a three-game series in Kansas City. North Dakota and Kansas City will begin play on Saturday afternoon with a doubleheader beginning at noon before the two close out the series on Sunday at 11 a.m.

UND is slowly closing out its stretch of games away from Grand Forks, as the Fighting Hawks have so far played all of their games on the road so far this season. By the time the season is over and it is all said and done, the green and white will have played 44 games away from Grand Forks.

Kansas City - UND trails 3-9
» The Roos have dominated the series between the two schools, winning nine of the 12 contests. 

» The two teams faced each other four times last season at Apollo Park in Grand Forks. They split the series as UND took the first two games and Kansas City took the remaining two games.

About the Opponent
» The Roos currently sit a 4-20 record. They have already held two home games against Southeast Missouri State and Iowa, but they fell to both teams. 

» Their first win was at the South Florida Invitational. They beat Illinois State 6-5. Since then, they have picked up wins against Arkansas - Pine Bluffs (10-2; 5 innings and 6-0) and Missouri State (3-2).
