NOTES: North Dakota hits the road for first time in 2023 to battle Miami

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Fighting Hawks hit the road for the first time since Dec. 10, 2022 for a showdown against Miami on Friday night at 6:30 p.m. from Goggin Ice Center in Oxford, Ohio. 

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy and Darrin Looker calling the action. Friday's game can be heard on 96.1 FM (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey.   

Friday's game can be seen on CBS Sports Network with Alex Heinert and Dave Starman calling the action. Shireen Starman joins the crew as the rinkside reporter. Fans can't watch online through NCHC.tv on Friday due to CBS airing rights.

Friday will be the 33rd all-time meeting between North Dakota and Miami, with UND holding a 23-8-1 advantage in the series.  

The teams met in November of 2022 up in Grand Forks, with UND claiming Friday night by a 7-1 score before the RedHawks replied with a 4-3 victory in the finale.  

Since the 2018-19 season, UND is 4-1-1 over its last six games in Oxford, including a sweep last year.
