SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Summit League released the preseason men's basketball poll and all-conference teams Tuesday. After leading the Fighting Hawks with 12 points per game last season, B.J. Omot earned a spot on the second team preseason All-Summit League, while the Fighting Hawks were picked to finish fifth in the conference.
Omot started all 33 games a season ago, leading the team in scoring with 12 points per game and in minutes with over 31. He also was among the Summit League leaders in blocked shots with 31, averaging nearly one per game. He shot .396 from the field, .301 from three-point range and .742 from the free throw line.
