ST. PAUL, Minn. – North Dakota and St. Thomas played to a 0-0 draw in Summit League play at South Field on Thursday afternoon.
Madi Livingston spent all 90 minutes in net for North Dakota and recorded seven saves.
The Tommies (3-6-5, 1-4-2 SL) recorded 22 shots and seven on frame in the match. Comparatively, the Fighting Hawks (5-7-5, 1-3-3 SL) accounted for seven shots and finished with three shots on goal.
Allison Rapaduski led the attack for UND with two shots and a shot on goal.
Paula Moreno Diaz also had two scoring attempts. Rapaduski,
Irene Jirasevijinda and
Amelia Loeffler all had one shot on frame apiece.
In the opening 45 minutes, St. Thomas claimed an 11-5 shot advantage, including a 3-2 edge in shots on goal. The best UND scoring opportunity of the half came in the 25th minute when Irene Jirasvijinda took a shot from 20 yards out. Olivia Rowe made the save but struggled to get possession of the ball and it nearly ended up at the foot of Loeffler before Rowe recorded the save.
St. Thomas held possession for over 58 percent of the game and limited NoDak to just two shots in the second half. UND's closest opportunity of the second half came off a Moreno Diaz free kick that ended up wide.
North Dakota will conclude the regular season on Sunday with Denver at Bronson Field at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on Midco Sports.
