NOTES: No. 7/8 North Dakota to open 2023-24 season with exhibition vs. Manitoba

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – No. 7/8 North Dakota hits the ice for the first time in the 2023-24 season for an exhibition showdown against Manitoba on Saturday night at 6:07 p.m. from Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D.

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy and Mike LeMoine calling the action. Saturday's game can be heard on 96.1 FM (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey. 

Friday's game can be seen on Midco Sports with Alex Heinert and Jake Brandt calling the action. Taylor Budge joins the crew as the pregame, intermission and postgame host.  Fans can also watch online through NCHC.tv with a subscription.

Saturday marks the 23rd time North Dakota and Manitoba are set to square off in an exhibition contest, with UND winning the previous 22 contests.

The two programs have played six regular season contests, with the most recent coming in 1978.

In all action, North Dakota is 27-1-0 all-time against the Bisons, with every game coming in Grand Forks.
