GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota men's basketball team will host its home opener Sunday against the Elon Phoenix, who come into the game at 1-1. The Fighting Hawks are seeking their first win after dropping their season opener at Iowa.

North Dakota will host Elon at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center Sunday, Nov. 12. Paul Ralston's call on the Home of Economy Radio Network. The game can be seen on Midco and on the Summit League Network.
Series History vs. the Phoenix
The Fighting Hawks met the Phoenix last season for the first time at Schar center in Elon, which was a 77-73 win for the green and white.
Last Season
North Dakota finished the 2022-23 campaign with a 13-20 record, a seven win improvement over 2021-22. The Fighting Hawks won their first Summit League Tournament game in three years with an 83-68 win over Denver in the first game of the tournament. The team won six of their last nine games, regular and postseason, last year.
Bench Boost
North Dakota finished the 2022-23 season with the most bench points in the Summit League, averaging 24.76 points per game from the reserves; which was 39th in the nation. Reserves chipped in 20 points in the season opener at Iowa.
