Series History vs. the Pioneers
Thursday will be the 12th meeting between the Hawks and the Pioneers—Denver owns a 6-5 edge in the series and has won the last four in the series. The last UND win was on February 5, 2021 in the Mile High City, an 85-82 overtime win. This will be the tenth meeting as Summit League opponents, and in the previous nine conference meetings the Hawks own a 5-4 edge.
Denver took the first meeting this season 78-71.

Last Time Out
North Dakota snapped their four game skid with an emphatic 86-72 win at South Dakota on Saturday. The Hawks came out hot, making ten threes in the first half and finished with 13 made shots from downtown. Matt Norman continued his shot streak with six made threes and led the team with 21 points.
B.J. Omot had a big day with 17 points for the second straight game and blocked five shots—the first Hawk with five blocks in three seasons. He also set a new season high with nine boards. The two of them were joined in double figures by Tsotne Tsartsidze with 16 and Jalun Trent with 14, his personal best as a Hawk. Trent's eight rebounds were also a career best at UND.

Bench Boost
North Dakota enters the matchup with the most bench scoring in the Summit League and is No. 30 team nationally in that category. The Fighting Hawks are averaging 26.56 points per game from the reserves this season. The next closest bench in the league is Omaha with 23.8.

Shaking it up
North Dakota used their ninth different starting lineup combination of the season on Saturday (Jalun Trent, Matt Norman, Brady Danielson, B.J. Omot and Tsotne Tsartsidze), which equaled the number of different combinations used last season. On the team, Tsartsidze has the most active consecutive starts currently with 45, followed by Omot with 25. Danielson and has started the last 12 games and Trent the last ten.
