NOTES: North Dakota, No. 14 Omaha battle in final home series of 2022-23

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The final weekend of the regular season begins for North Dakota against No. 14 Omaha on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. from Ralph Engelstad Arena. 

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy calling the action. Friday's game can be heard on 96.1 FM (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey.   

Friday's game can be seen on Midco Sports with Jody Norstedt and Jake Brandt calling the action. Taylor Budge and Erik Fabian join the crew as the pregame, intermission and postgame hosts. Fans can also watch online through NCHC.tv with a subscription.

Friday will be the 49th all-time meeting between North Dakota and Omaha, with UND holding a 29-17-2 advantage in the series.  

The first team to score a goal in the contest has won 21 of the last 23 games in the series, with the lone differences being the Saturday finale in Grand Forks between the two last season and the Saturday tie earlier this year.  

Over its history, North Dakota has never lost the season series with the Mavericks dating back to 2010-11 when they became conference mates.
