NOTES: UND back to Baxter Arena for postseason battle with No. 17 Omaha

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota hits the road for the NCHC Quarterfinals against No. 17 Omaha for a best-of-3 series beginning on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. from Baxter Arena. 

All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Home of Economy Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy and Darrin Looker calling the action. Friday's game can be heard on 96.1 FM (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey.   

Friday's game can be seen on Midco Sports with Alex Heinert and Jake Brandt calling the action. Taylor Budge joins the crew as the pregame, intermission and postgame host. Fans can also watch online through NCHC.tv with a subscription.

Friday will be the 53rd all-time meeting between North Dakota and Omaha, with UND holding a 33-17-2 advantage in the series.  

The first team to score a goal in the contest has won 23 of the last 25 games in the series, with the lone differences being the Saturday finale in Grand Forks between the two last season and the Saturday tie earlier this year.  

Over its history, North Dakota has never lost the season series with the Mavericks dating back to 2010-11 when they became conference mates.
