BOSTON -- For the second straight season, six student-athletes from the University of North Dakota hockey program were honored by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) as Krampade All-America Scholars on Monday afternoon.
To qualify, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.75 grade point average for each semester and had to appear in 40% of the team's games. Exceptions were granted to injured players and backup goaltenders. Â
Judd Caulfield, Ethan Frisch, Jakob Hellsten, Louis Jamernik V, Dylan James and Ben Strinden were all honored for their work in 2022-23, with Caulfield and Frisch each earning the selection for the fourth time in their careers. Jamernik V and Hellsten were both honored for the second time while James and Strinden collected their first honor. In addition, transfer defenseman Logan Britt (Sacred Heart) also earned the honor.
North Dakota has now had at least four selections in all seven years of the award, dating back to 2016-17.Â
