GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The Summit League announced all championship host sites last week, allowing the North Dakota cross country teams to complete their schedules.
For the third year in a row, the Fighting Hawks will open the season at home, hosting the Ron Pynn Classic on Friday, Sept. 1. The women's 5K will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by the men's 6K race. Both races will take place at the Ray Richards Golf Course.
The following week, UND will receive a preview of the Summit League Championships, running at the SDSU Classic on Friday, Sept. 8.
NoDak will have two weeks without meets before traveling to Bismarck for the Marauder Classic on Friday, Sept. 29. The Hawks close out the regular season on the next day, competing in the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pa., on Saturday, Sept. 30.
The championship portion of the schedule begins on Saturday, Oct. 28, with NoDak making the trek back to Brookings for the Summit League Championships.
On Friday, Nov. 10, North Dakota visits the campus of Oklahoma State for the NCAA Midwest Regional. Two days later, qualifiers for the NCAA Championships will be announced. The selections for the NCAA Championships will then complete their seasons at the National Championships in Charlottesville, Va., on Saturday, Nov. 18.
