Lennart, Angell Post Top-Five Finishes at Marauder Classic

BISMARCK, N.D. – A portion of the North Dakota cross country team competed in the Marauder Classic on Friday, with a pair of Hawks finishing in the top five. Three Fighting Hawks ran in the meet and an additional trio of Hawks competed unattached.

Lennart Lindstrot paced the Fighting Hawks in his first 8K collegiately, finishing as the runner-up with a time of 26:26.9. Niko Angell also picked up his first top-five finish collegiately, placing fourth with a PR of 26:36.2. Micah Bruggeman rounded out the finishers for UND, taking 14th with a personal-best time of 28:31.8. Leighton Steidl, running unattached, took seventh in the men's 8K in 27:46.1 in his first race as a Fighting Hawk.

In the women's 6K, Anna Nelson and Kinsey Pedersen both ran unattached in their first collegiate race. Nelson placed fourth with a time of 24:03.3, while Pedersen clocked a time of 28:54.3 to finish 25th.
