GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota Athletics and Augustana Athletics have jointly announced a scheduling agreement for a pair of future nonconference series beginning in the 2027-28 season.
"We are excited to announce this agreement with Augustana," said UND head hockey coach
Brad Berry. "This is a great opportunity to develop a competitive regional rivalry that will benefit both programs and offer a unique matchup for fans in our area."
The Fighting Hawks will travel to Sioux Falls, S.D. in 2027-28 to play at the newly opened Midco Arena before the Vikings make the return visit to Ralph Engelstad Arena for the 2028-29 campaign. Specific dates for both matchups will be announced at a later time.
"We are excited to secure this agreement with Augustana and further strengthen the competitive landscape of collegiate hockey in the region," said UND Director of Athletics Bill Chaves. "This series presents a fantastic opportunity for our student-athletes to compete at a high level, while also engaging with a growing program."
Further details, including dates and ticketing information for both series, will be announced closer to the start of the 2027-28 season.
The teams will meet on the ice for the first time this Saturday for an exhibition showdown from Ralph Englestad Arena at 6:07 p.m. Fans can watch the game on Midco Sports or NCHC.tv or tune in on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network.
