Kuntz named MVFC Offensive Lineman of the Week

ST. LOUIS, Mo. – North Dakota left guard Jack Kuntz was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday afternoon.

In the 31-7 win over Northern Iowa, Kuntz and North Dakota's offensive line helped the Fighting Hawks rack up 386 yards of offense with 267 yards rushing and 119 yards passing. The blocking up front also allowed UND to have 75 plays with the ball, while limiting UNI to only 44 total plays. In the first half alone, the Fighting Hawks ran 49 plays to the Panthers' 14. UNI only got to Simon Romfo once in the contest.

Last week, Kuntz graded out at 92 percent with four knockdowns and no pressures or sacks allowed.

North Dakota will visit Youngstown State at 5 p.m. (CT) on Saturday. The game will be televised on Midco Sports Two and carried on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network.
