GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota jumped to No. 15 in both the USCHO.com and USA Hockey/The Rink Live polls, which were released on Monday, heading into the holiday break.

UND (11-7-1, 6-2-0 NCHC) is coming off one of its best weekends of the season, earning a sweep over then-No. 9 St. Cloud State and gaining five-of-a-possible-six points in the NCHC standings to climb into sole possession of second place at the conclusion of the 2024 calendar year.

A trio of Fighting Hawks were honored by the conference after the weekend, with Sacha Boisvert (rookie), T.J. Semptimphelter (goaltender) and Abram Wiebe (defense) all earning NCHC weekly awards. Boisvert earned the recognition for the third time this season, while Wiebe made it back-to-back weeks with an honor and Semptimphelter took home the award for the first time in his career.

The Fighting Hawks enter the break playing some of their best hockey, sitting at 6-1-1 over the last eight games and are unbeaten over the last five contests.

North Dakota returns to the ice on Saturday, Jan. 4 for an exhibition contest against Manitoba at 6:07 p.m. from Ralph Engelstad Arena.
