GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Following a split against Arizona State, North Dakota remained at No. 14 in the USCHO.com Poll and rose one spot to No. 16 in the USA Hockey/The Rink Live Poll, which were both released on Monday afternoon.

The Fighting Hawks (12-8-1, 7-3-0 NCHC) opened 2025 with a split down in Tempe, Ariz. against the Sun Devils, dropping the series opener by a 4-1 score before rallying for a 4-3 overtime victory on Saturday night. The win moved UND into a tie for first place in the NCHC standings with 19 points and will look to move into sole possession of the top spot this weekend against No. 4/5 Western Michigan.

NoDak has been playing some of its best hockey over the last 10 games, accumulating a record of 7-2-1 during that stretch. The wins have propelled the Hawks to a tie for No. 19 in the Pairwise Rankings, which is the method used for selection to the NCAA Tournament participants.

UND opens the series against the Broncos on Friday night at 7:07 p.m. from Ralph Engelstad Arena.
