ST. LOUIS, Mo. – North Dakota left guard
Liam Becher was named the Missouri Valley Football Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week on Monday afternoon.
In North Dakota's 38-19 win at No. 12 Southern Illinois, Becher and the offensive line helped UND pile up 311 yards on the ground and four rushing scores in the victory. The Fighting Hawks were powered by
Sawyer Seidl, who had 108 yards and three rushing touchdowns on 14 carries. He also added an 11-yard receiving touchdown in the third quarter to finish with four scores. North Dakota averaged 6.2 yards per carry and had 50 rushes in the game.
Jerry Kaminski was an efficient 9-for-15 passing for 73 yards and a touchdown and was not sacked in the contest. He also contributed a two-yard rushing score in the second quarter. Continuing the theme this season, Kaminski spread the ball around and tossed completions to eight players in the victory.
Last week, Becher graded out at 90 percent with two knockdowns.
North Dakota will host Indiana State at 3 p.m. on Saturday. The game will be televised on Midco Sports and carried on the Fighting Hawks Radio Network.
