GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The 80th season of varsity hockey begins for No. 10/11 North Dakota, as the Fighting Hawks are set to host No. 19 St. Thomas on Friday night from Ralph Engelstad Arena in Grand Forks, N.D. in the first game of a home-and-home series.
 
All UND men's hockey games, home and away, can be heard on stations across the Fighting Hawks Radio Network, as well as through the iHeart Radio app, with longtime broadcaster Tim Hennessy, who is in his 46th year on the mic for UND hockey, and Mike LaMoine calling the action. Friday's game can be heard on 96.1 (The Fox), the flagship station of North Dakota hockey. 
 
Friday's game can be seen on Midco Sports with Alex Heinert and Jim Scanlan calling the action. Taylor Budge and Monique Lamoureux-Morando join the crew as the pregame, intermission and postgame hosts. Fans will also be able to stream the contest on NCHC.tv, with a subscription.

Friday will be the first all-time meeting between North Dakota and St. Thomas.
 
The two programs were actually scheduled to play a pair of nonconference series against each other beginning in 2025-26, but adjusted to one home-and-home series with the Tommies joining the NCHC in 2026-27.
