NOTES: Hawks Travel to The Golden State for Second Game Against UC Riverside This Season

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The North Dakota men's basketball team will begin a six-game stretch away from Grand Forks on Saturday against UC Riverside at 4 p.m. Coverage will be found on ESPN+ and heard on 100.3 The Cat, called by Paul Ralston.

The Hawks get another shot at the Highlanders, a team they faced eight days ago at home. UND fell to UC Riverside 74-70 in that game.

It is the third meeting all-time between the two squads, with the Highlanders winning both matchups by an average of 5.0 points per contest.

North Dakota is coming off its first win of the season on Tuesday night, defeating Mayville State by a score of 128-58. The 128 points scored were a new program single-game record.

Scouting the Highlanders
UC Riverside comes into this game with a 2-1 record on the season, recently losing on the road to New Mexico by an 82-68 margin.

The Highlanders rely heavily on their big-three of Andrew Henderson (18.7 ppg), Osiris Grady (16.7 ppg) and Marqui Worthy Jr. (14.7 ppg), with the trio all averaging northwards of 14 points per game. They have logged 297 of UC Riverside's 600 points (49.5%) this season.

Five Players in Double-Figures
The Hawks had five players who scored 10 or more points on Tuesday, headlined by Micah (22) and Marley (19) Curtis, who combined for 41 points on 17-of-24 from the field. Garrett Anderson (19),  Greyson Uelmen (14), and Zach Kraft (13) each also tallied double-digits.

That Guy Kraft is Good at His Kraft
Zach Kraft is tied for 21st in the country in three-pointers made with 12, doing so on 46.2% from deep. He has connected on two or more triples in all four games this year, headlined by a season-high four made three-pointers against the Highlanders on Nov. 6.

UND Getting Steals and Protecting the Ball
The Hawks have an 8.8 turnover margin this season, good for 17th in the country. They rank 10th nationally in steals per game, capturing 21 steals against Mayville State on Tuesday.

Garrett Getting Going
Garrett Anderson is coming off his best game as a Hawk, recording 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting and 5-for-9 from three-point range. Anderson has started all four games for UND this season, averaging 11.0 points per game.

Micah Adding Some Firepower to the Rotation
Micah Curtis had a team-high 22 points on Tuesday, along with six rebounds and five blocks in just 18 minutes. Curtis was 10-for-12 from the field.

A3 Making an Impact
Anthony Smith lll is averaging 5.3 assists per game, along with 12.3 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.3 steals per contest through four games this season. Smith has been the first sub off the bench in all four games and is ranked second in the Summit League in assists per game.

70-Point Dub, Largest Since 1985-86
UND's 70-point win on Tuesday was the largest margin of victory since the team beat Macalester on Nov. 23, 1985 by a 106-36 margin. North Dakota went on a 31-0 run in the second half against Mayville State, leading by as many as 73.

14 Deep Balls on Tuesday
The Hawks are coming off a 14-for-27 shooting performance from behind the arc on Tuesday, having six different guys hit at least one deep ball.  

Uelmen on Pure Efficiency
 Greyson Uelmen is averaging 19 points per game over his last two games on 11-for-14 shooting and 5-for-6 from behind the arc. Uelmen has started the last three games for UND at point guard and is shooting 62.5% from the field overall this season.
