GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The North Dakota men's basketball team (0-2) will play its second game of its three-game homestand against the CSUN Matadors (1-1) on Sunday at 1 p.m. Coverage can be found on Midco Sports and Summit League Network, while radio will be on 100.3 The Cat with Paul Ralston on the call.
It is the first matchup all-time between UND and CSUN, with the Matadors playing in the Big West Conference.
UND is coming off a 74-70 loss on Thursday night against UC Riverside. Four different Hawks scored in double-figures, led by Anthony Smith lll with 17.
CSUN is coming off an 86-57 loss at Northern Iowa on Thursday night. The Matadors are led by Larry Hughes ll, who is averaging 17.0 points per game (7-for-16 from three) through two contests. Hughes is the son of 13-year NBA veteran and 2005 First Team All-Defensive Team honoree, Larry Hughes.

Smith logged 17 points on Thursday against UC Riverside, including 13 in the second half. The 6-1 freshman shot 6-of-11 from the field, while contributing four assists and four steals. The Hopkins, Minn. native leads the hawks in points (12.5), assists (4.0) and is tied for the team lead in steals per game (3.0) through two contests.
Jones Providing a Big Man Presence

Josh Jones showed out last game against UC Riverside, logging 10 points and five rebounds, totaling eight of the Hawks 40 points in the paint. The Oral Roberts transfer shot 4-of-9 from the field in almost 24 minutes of action on Thursday.
Kraft Cashing Trey Balls
Zach Kraft had 12 points against UC Riverside, connecting on 4-of-7 attempts from deep. Kraft is 6-of-13 from three on the season (46.2%), one of six players in the Summit League with six or more threes so far in 2025-26 and his percentage ranks fourth in the conference. He has hit six of UND's 11 three-pointers this season through two games.
