Moscow, Idaho – The North Dakota men's basketball team is back in action on Wednesday night, in the first-of-two-contests of the Big Sky-Summit Challenge, taking on the Idaho Vandals at 8 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed on ESPN+ and heard on 100.3 The Cat, with Paul Ralston on the call.
It is the 11th meeting all-time between North Dakota and Idaho, playing for the first time since Dec. 6, 2022. The Vandals lead the series 7-3, winning the last four matchups. Idaho won the last contest in Moscow, by a score of 76-66.
UND is coming off a 92-55 loss against Hawaii on Friday evening in Honolulu. The Hawks were paced by two players in double figures offensively, led by
Greyson Uelmen with 19 points and Anthony Smith lll with 12 points.
Idaho enters this matchup with a 4-3 record, recently losing to Sam Houston State by a 94-68 margin on Friday night. The Vandals own a 2-0 record at home this season.
UI is led by Jackson Rasmussen, who is averaging 15.6 points per contest on 60.0% shooting from the field. The Vandals have three players who have made 10 or more three-pointers, in Kolton Mitchell (13), Jack Payne (13) and Biko Johnson (11).
