T.J. Semptimphelter repeats as NCHC Goaltender of the Week

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – For the second straight week, graduate student goaltender T.J. Semptimphelter was named NCHC Goaltender of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
 
The Marlton, N.J., native was once again strong between the pipes to help UND grab a crucial weekend sweep over Minnesota Duluth, finishing with 57 saves on 60 shots against in the pair of wins.
 
Semptimphelter came up big in Friday's 4-2 victory with 30 saves, including eight in the third period, to help the Fighting Hawks close out the contest before carrying a shutout into the final minute of Saturday's 6-1 win and ended the night stopping 27-of-28 to complete the sweep.
 
Over his last five starts, Semptimphelter is 4-1-0 with a .947 save percentage to help climb into the top-5 among NCHC goaltenders in both save percentage (.913, 5th) and goals against average (2.51, 4th) in league games while his 14 wins this season are tied for 15th nationally and third in the conference.
 
North Dakota will hit the road for the final time in regular season to battle Western Michigan beginning on Friday night at 6 p.m. (CT) from Lawson Arena in Kalamazoo, Mich.
