GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- The University of North Dakota women's tennis team took down Oral Roberts, 5-2, on Sunday afternoon from Choice Health and Fitness in Grand Forks, N.D.

With the win, UND improves to 12-4 overall and 2-1 in Summit League play, while also extending its winning streak to five straight matches.

North Dakota jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in doubles play, notching wins on the No. 2 and 3 courts. The middle pairing of Jule Schulte and Nore Heinitz grabbed a 6-2 victory, before Alyssa Giupponi and Andrea Pineda sealed the advantage for the hosts by a 6-4 score from the third spot.

Giupponi kept her momentum rolling right through singles play, as the freshman cruised to a 6-0 win in the first set and closed out her win by a 6-2 score in the second frame to extend the lead to 2-0 on the No. 6 court. Ethel Li pushed the advantage to 3-0 from the second spot, battling to a pair of 7-5 triumphs before Heinitz sealed the victory just moments later on the No. 4 court with back-to-back 6-3 wins to make it 4-1 UND.

Aziza Aubin added the final point of the evening for NoDak from the fifth spot, rallying from a loss in the first set to post a 2-6, 6-3, 6-1 win and seal the 5-2 overall match victory.
