North Dakota, Western Michigan set for primetime showdown at NCHC Frozen Faceoff

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The National Collegiate Hockey Conference announced the semifinal game times for the 2025 NCHC Frozen Faceoff on Monday morning, with North Dakota and Western Michigan set for a 7:37 p.m. puck drop from the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minn.
 
This marks the 20th time in the last 21 years that North Dakota has reached the conference semifinals but is searching for only its third win in the last 10 appearances in the Frozen Faceoff Semifinals.
 
North Dakota and Western Michigan have met twice previously in the Frozen Faceoff, splitting the contests. UND claimed the inaugural meeting by a 5-0 score in the 2014 third-place game before WMU notched a 4-2 victory in the 2022 semifinals.

Friday, March 21 (times CT)
· Denver vs. Arizona State - 4:07 p.m.
· North Dakota vs. Western Michigan - 7:37 p.m.
 
Saturday, March 22 (times CT)
· Minnesota Wild vs. Buffalo Sabres - 1:00 p.m. (separate ticket required)
· Championship Game - 7:38 p.m.
