ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Sophomore defenseman
Jake Livanavage added another major accolade to his mantle on Friday evening, earning a spot on the AHCA/CCM All-America Second Team. The honor was announced as part of the 2025 NCAA Frozen Four festivities from St. Louis, Mo.
Livanavage is the program's 67th player, and fourth straight sophomore, to earn All-America honors and marks back-to-back years that North Dakota has had a selection to the team.
The Phoenix, Ariz., native had a special season on the blue line, finishing third on the team with 28 points and ranking second with 24 assists. During NCHC play, Livanavage led UND with 21 points and 18 helpers while finishing with a plus-4 rating to rank second among all conference defensemen in league points.
Livanavage totaled seven games with multiple points, including a trio of games with three points – all coming against NCHC opponents. He was also dominant on the defensive side of the puck, pacing the team with 68 blocked shots and ranking 10th in the nation with over 25 minutes of ice time per game.
He became only the fifth defenseman at North Dakota to earn a selection to the All-NCHC First Team and the first UND underclassman defenseman to earn a first team recognition from a league since 2000-01.
Livanavage has nine goals and 48 assists for 57 points in 78 career games at North Dakota and will be returning for his junior season in 2025-26.
