GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Four members of the 2025-26 North Dakota hockey team were named to the 2025 U.S. World Junior Summer Showcase roster, as announced by USA Hockey on Tuesday.
Forwards
Mac Swanson and Will Zellers as well as defensemen
EJ Emery and Sam Laurila were four of the 42 players selected to participate in the games, which will run from July 25 through Aug. 2 at Ridder Arena in Minneapolis, Minn. A future prospect was also named to the roster, bringing UND's total possible representation to five.
The event, which features Canada, Finland, Sweden and the United States, serves as an evaluation for athletes seeking to make their respective national teams for the 2026 IIHF World Junior Championship. North Dakota will also hope to have representation on the Team Canada side as well, with incoming freshmen Cole Reschny and Keaton Verhoeff expected to be named to the team.
