GRAND FORKS, N.D. – North Dakota was named the Stats Perform FCS National Team of the Week, while also being the highest risers in both national polls following a 21-10 upset of top-ranked South Dakota State Saturday. The Fighting Hawks landed at No. 6 in the Stats Perform poll and No. 8 in the AFCA Coaches' poll, climbing five and seven spots, respectively, to reenter the top 10 in each edition.

NoDak improved to 6-2 overall and 3-1 in conference play after second-year head coach Eric Schmidt guided the program to its first win over the No. 1 ranked team at the FCS level in six tries.

North Dakota will next take part in a top-10 MVFC showdown on the road at South Dakota. The Fighting Hawks and No. 8/6 Coyotes kickoff at 1 p.m. CT in a game that will be televised on Midco Sports and streamed on Midco Sports Plus and ESPN+.
