BROOKINGS, S.D. – The North Dakota men's basketball team heads south for a matchup with the South Dakota State Jackrabbits on Saturday at 2 p.m. from First Bank and Trust Arena. Coverage can be found on Midco Sports and listened to on 100.3 The Cat.

It is the 206th meeting all-time between UND and SDSU, dating all the way back to Feb. 19, 1917. The Hawks lead the all-time series 108-97, currently riding a three-game winning streak against the Jacks, after dropping the previous 18 matchups before that.

NoDak took down the Jackrabbits in Grand Forks earlier this year, 90-87 in overtime on Jan. 3. Garrett Anderson was the hero, hitting a left-wing three-pointer with 17 seconds remaining in overtime, while trailing 87-85. It was just the second conference game of the season for both sides.

Last Time Out
UND is coming off an 85-70 win over Kansas City on Thursday night at home. The Hawks used an explosive second half to outscore the Roos 48-35 in the final 20 minutes.

Greyson Uelmen led the way for NoDak with 23 points, breaking the freshman single-season points record, set by Paul Bruns in the 2021-22 season. Uelmen has now scored 10 or more points in 13 consecutive games and owns seven 20-point performances this season.

Scouting the Opposition
The Jackrabbits enter this one with a 12-16 record, sitting at 5-8 in Summit League play. SDSU fell in its last contest at home to North Dakota State, 74-66.

South Dakota State is led by Joe Sayler and Damon Wilkinson, each averaging 13.6 points per game on the season. Jaden Jackson (12.6 ppg) and Kalen Garry (10.9 ppg) are also averaging in double figures. SDSU owns an 8-4 record at home, but has lost 4-of-5 games overall.
