SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The home-opening track meet for North Dakota resulted in two shimmering broken school records and now two Summit League Peak Performer of the Week honors for
Louis-Lys Fanucchi and
Jadyn Keeler, league officials announced Tuesday.
Keeler kicked off the strong showing for the Fighting Hawks by adding another broken school record to her already-sparkling 2025-26 campaign. She won the women's mile with a clocking of 4:39.06 to rewrite her own history, take first overall in the event and break the facility record. Keeler also placed fifth overall in the women's 800-meter run in 2:12.79.
Fanucchi followed that up with a new addition to his own hot streak by running a near sub-4 mile time of 4:00.02. His personal-best clocking broke the previous school record by over six seconds, won him the event and broke the meet and facility records. Fanucchi also won the men's 800-meter run in 1:51.53 to move into fifth in UND history.
This accolade marks the second career indoor weekly award for Fanucchi while serving as the fifth career indoor accolade for Keeler.
North Dakota track and field will return to action this weekend down in Fargo for the two-day Bison Open on Friday and Saturday.
