Last Time Out
It was a day adorned with new UND Top 10 entries—including new school records—and top-three finishes as the North Dakota track and field team wrapped up competition at its home-opening UND Open meet on Saturday.

The major headlines of the day came from the men's and women's mile run, which saw back-to-back shattered school records.

Jadyn Keeler struck first, adding to her already sparkling 2025-26 campaign another record-breaking time. She won the women's mile with a 4:39.06 clocking to rewrite her own history, take first overall in the event and break the facility record.

She led an onslaught of top-finishing Fighting Hawks as UND claimed five of the top 10 placings, including the top four. Olivia Correale ran a PR of 4:49.61 for second place and fourth in UND history as Katherine Rogers (4:53.11) took third with the sixth-best time in school history. Frida Giersdorff was fourth with her PR time of 5:46.29 and Elle Sondag came sixth in 4:59.33 for a new personal best.

The record breaking continued on the men's half of the event as Louis-Lys Fanucchi added to his hot streak with a near sub-4 mile time of 4:00.02. His clocking breaks the previous school record by over six seconds, won him the event and broke the meet and facility record.

Ethan Adams followed close behind in the same event, taking fifth place with his PR of 4:06.94, which sits third in the UND record books. Aleksa Milanovic also joined the history books with his PR time of 4:09.13 for seventh all-time and a ninth-place finish while Ian Busche took 10th in 4:09.25 for eighth all-time.

A trio of Hawks clocked new personal bests in the men's 400-meter dash, led by Josh Neil's fifth-place time of 49.04, which now sits fifth all-time. Cruz Megazzini came sixth in 49.14 for a new PR and the seventh-fastest time in program history while Ryan Lange ran a PR of 51.49.

The women's 800-meter run saw Gabriella Ruggeri finish second overall with a clocking of 2:10.85—a PR that now sits fifth all-time—while Correale took third in 2:11.45 for a new personal best and the seventh-fastest time in program history.

Fanucchi collected his second crown of the day in the men's 800-meter run after running a 1:51.53 to move into fifth in UND history.

Ava Phrakonkham ran a 25.19 in the women's 200-meter dash for an eighth-place finish and the 10th best time in school history as Nadia Evans took runner-up in 24.66 seconds.

Julia Matthews continues to make UND history, this time in the women's weight throw. She finished second in the event with her PR mark of 65-4 (19.91m) that now sits fourth all-time. Matthews would also go on to win the shot put with her personal best of 47-4 1/4 (14.43m) that now sits fifth in school history.
