Walker leads the way at Bell Bank “Pay It Forward” Collegiate

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — North Dakota women's golf wrapped up play at the Bell Bank "Pay It Forward" Collegiate on Tuesday, finishing 14th in a strong 14‑team field at the Wigwam Resort Gold Course.

Senior Emersyn Walker delivered the highlight of the week for the Fighting Hawks, firing a career‑low 68 in Monday's second round — the best single‑round score by any UND player this season. Walker went on to finish T‑43 at 221 (+8), matching her career‑best 54‑hole total, first set in the fall of 2024.

UND also counted scores from Gigi Lund and Mallory Uselman, who each tied for 70th at 230 (+17). Sophie Cook placed 80th with a 238 (+25), and Annika Jyrkas finished at 241 (+28) in 81st. The Fighting Hawks posted team rounds of 305 (+21), 294 (+10) and 318 (+34) for a three‑round total of 917 (+65).

USF claimed the team title with a dominant 826, while Regina Plascencia of USF earned medalist honors at 204.

North Dakota closes out its regular season at the Stampede at the Creek beginning on April 13 from Elkhorn, Neb.
