GRAND FORKS, N.D. – Two Fighting Hawks represented North Dakota women's tennis on the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, officials announced on Tuesday, with Alyssa Giupponi and Alva Norberg earning the distinction.

The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Giupponi earned All-Summit League Honorable Mention honors this season after finding success on both sides of competition for UND. She ended the year with 12 total singles wins—including four in conference competition alone—while also grabbing eight doubles victories. The sophomore proved her versatility through appearances across three different singles courts and two different doubles courts while registering several fast-paced two-set wins in dominating fashion. Giupponi is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary Education while maintaining a GPA of 3.939.

Tied for a team-high 14 total singles wins during the season, Norberg served as a consistent powerhouse for the Fighting Hawks attack. She took control throughout her first year with North Dakota, evenly splitting her individual wins between the third and fourth courts. The senior also collected 11 total doubles victories, with a whopping ten of them coming from the second position alone, and found success in four different doubles pairings. Norberg completed a degree in Psychology and held a cumulative grade point average of 4.0 during her studies.
