FARGO, N.D. -- It was another banner day for the North Dakota track and field teams on the second day of action at the 2026 Summit League Outdoor Championships from Fargo, N.D. on Friday, as two school records were shattered and six Fighting Hawks earned medalist honors.
The UND women remain in first place with 107 points through seven events to mark the first time holding an outright lead heading into the final day of competition at the Summit League Outdoor Championships since joining the league in 2018-19 while the Fighting Hawk men remain in fifth with 34 points through eight events.
Jadyn Keeler earned her second individual title in as many days in a dominant performance in the women's 3000-meter steeplechase, as she set a new school, conference and facility record with a time of 10:00.45. Frida Giersdorff also earned medalist honors in the event and set a facility record at 10:27.38 to place second by over five seconds while ranking third all-time in program history.
The other school record came in the final event of the day, as
