GRAND FORKS, N.D. – University of North Dakota volleyball Head Coach David Nguyen announced the addition of outside hitter Andrea Zaric on Thursday.

Zaric joins UND after four seasons with Mercyhurst, totaling 639 kills, 458 digs, 81 blocks, 64 aces and 24 assists across 82 matches and 288 sets played in her career. She will have one more year of eligibility.

A native of Etobicoke, Ontario, Zaric recorded 237 kills, 37.0 blocks, 149 digs and 18 service aces across 30 matches and 102 sets, registering a .176 hit percentage in 2025. She logged 10 performances with 10 or more kills and three outings with 10 or more digs. Zaric had a season-high 16 kills on Sept. 27 against Farleigh Dickinson, while totaling two double-doubles on Oct. 10 at LIU and Oct. 17 vs. New Haven.

The 5-foot-11 outside hitter was named NEC Prime Performer twice this season, on Sept. 30 and Nov. 18. For her career, she has averaged 2.2 kills/set, totaling at least 180 kills in the last three seasons (180 in 2023, 195 in 2024, 237 in 2025).

Zaric helped lead a seven-win jump for Mercyhurst from 2024-to-2025, guiding the Lakers to 12 wins in 2025. She participated in the Northeast Conference, the conference that Nguyen coached in at FDU for four seasons. She joins fellow Canadians, Lauren Perugini and Olivia Edlund on the team.
