GRAND FORKS, N.D. – The University of North Dakota volleyball team opens Summit League play at home this week, hosting Omaha on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and St. Thomas on Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Betty Engelstad Sioux Center.
 
The Fighting Hawks welcome Omaha on Thursday for 701 Night at the Betty. Fans can purchase tickets for $7.01 on the day of the match, while the concession stands will offer a $7.01 hot dog meal deal, with UND covering the penny. Thursday's match marks the 72nd meeting between the two programs, with the Mavericks holding the all-time series advantage. UND will look to earn its first win over Omaha since the 2016 season.
 
North Dakota will then close out the opening weekend of league play against St. Thomas on Saturday afternoon. UND Greek Life chapters will be in attendance and compete for prizes throughout the match. The meeting will be the 12th all-time between the Fighting Hawks and Tommies, with St. Thomas holding an 8-3 advantage in the series. UND will look to snap a five-match losing streak to the Tommies and close the opening weekend of Summit League play with a win.
