2021-22
Indoor (Fifth Year): Finished as the runner-up in the pentathlon at the Summit League Indoor Championships, good for the No. 2 point total in school history with 3,712 points ... Also was part of the 4x400m relay team that posted the No. 9 time (3:54.40) in program history to place sixth at the conference meet ... Scored points at the Summit League Indoor Championships in the high jump, finishing seventh with a clearance of 5-3 (1.60m) ... Put down personal-bests in the shot put with a toss of 37-11 1/4 (11.56m) at the UND Tune-Up and the 800m (2:23.31) at the conference championship meet ... Named All-Summit League in the pentathlon ... Earned Indoor Academic All-Summit League honors.
Outdoor (Senior): Placed fourth in the heptathlon at the Summit League Outdoor Championships with 4,884 points ... Recorded a personal-best point total of 5,020 at the Bryan Clay Invitational, currently the No. 3 point total in program history, posting PR's in five of the seven heptathlon events ... Also put down a personal-best mark of 100-6 (30.63m) in the javelin at the Summit League Outdoor Championships ... Helped the North Dakota heptathlon team finish the season ranked No. 2 in the USTFCCCA #EventSquad Rankings, the best any group at UND has ever ranked at the end of the season in the standings.
2020-21
Indoor (Senior): Competed in seven meets, including The Summit League Championship … All-Summit League in the pentathlon … Runner-up in the pentathlon, scoring 3,631 points to break her own school record at the time (Feb. 27) … Placed seventh in the high jump, clearing 5-4.25 (Feb. 28) … Cleared a season-best height of 5-7 at The Summit League Championship during the pentathlon … Won the pentathlon at the season-opener Dakota Duel with a score of 3,401 points (Dec. 4).
Outdoor (Junior): All-Summit League … Heptathlon runner-up at The Summit League Championship … School record holder at the time in the event with a score of 4,895 points (May 13-14) … Competed in six meets and two heptathlons … Scored 4,750 points in the heptathlon at the South Dakota Challenge, finishing second at the meet (April 9-10) … Qualified for the finals in the high jump at The Summit League Championship (May 15) … Helped the women’s 4x400 relay team to a fourth place finish at The League Championship, and the seventh fastest time in program history, 3:51.08 (May 15).

Indoor (Junior): Competed in six meets, including two multi-event competitions ... Broke her school-record at the time in the pentathlon at The Summit League Championship, scoring 3,508 points to finish fourth (Feb. 28) ... Won the high jump competition in the five-part epic, clearing a season-best 1.70m (5-7) ... Also finished fifth in the high jump at The Summit League Championship (Feb. 29) ... Jumped a height of 1.65m (5-5) ... Swept all five events at the UND Open (Jan. 30), scoring 3,403 points ... Leaped a season-best 5.28m (17-4) in the long jump to finish sixth at the Dakota Realty Alumni Meet (Feb. 7) ... Cleared at least 1.65m (5-5) in the high jump in all meets she competed in.
Outdoor (COVID-19 Pandemic): Participated in five events at the Coastal Carolina Invitational (March 13-14) ... Jumped a wind-aided 5.38m (17-8) in the long jump to finish second ... Finished ninth in the javelin ... Also posted top-three finishes in the 200-meters and the high jump.
2018-19
Indoor (Sophomore): Competed in eight meets ... Set the school-record in the pentathlon at The Summit League Championship (3,516 points) to finish third in the event Feb. (22-23) ... High jumped a personal-best 5-8 (1.73m) in the pentathlon competition at the Dakota Classic (Dec. 7-8), moving up to No. 2 all-time at North Dakota at the time ... Finished eighth in the high jump at the conference championship (Feb. 22-23) ... Ran on the Fighting Hawks 4x400 relay team, helping the squad to an eighth place finish and a time of 3:59.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Participated in seven meets ... Broke UND's record in the heptathlon at the time with her eighth place finish at the conference championship (4,629 points) ... Scored 4,604 points in her first-ever heptathlon at the Texas State Bobcat Invitational ... Reached the podium at The Summit League Championship in high jump, taking third (5-5, 1.65m) ... Finished in the top-eight in the high jump at the Pacific Coast Intercollegiate (April 18).
2017-18
Indoor (Freshman): Named to 2018 Big Sky Conference Winter All-Academic Team … Qualified for the conference championship in the high jump and the pentathlon … Hit the eighth-best high jump at the Big Sky meet after clearing 5 feet, 5.25 inches (1.66 meters) … Scored a season-best 3,111 points in the pentathlon at the UND Indoor Open, fourth-best in UND history at the time… Also earned season-bests in the shot put, long jump and 800 meters in the same event.
Outdoor (Freshman): Named to 2018 Big Sky Conference Spring All-Academic Team … Placed fifth in the high jump at the Big Sky Conference Championship … Also qualified for the conference championship in the 4x400 relay … Established a high jump PR of 5-07 ¾ (1.72m) at the Beach Invitational … That mark tied her for the third-best in UND history … Earned first letter.
Before UND: Graduated from Mankato West High School in 2017 ... Earned five letters in track and one in cross country … Finished third at the state meet in the high jump as a junior and fifth as a senior … MVP as a sophomore, junior, and senior.
Personal: Major is pre-nursing ... daughter of Dan and Lisa Benson ... father served as a media relations director for UND Athletics from 2000-08 and is currently the director of media relations at Minnesota State ... her older sister, Christa, was a combined events athlete for Bemidji State from 2015-19 ... her grandfather, Thomas, played basketball at the University of Minnesota from 1957-60.
