2024-25 (Senior): Saw playing time in 19 games... Totaled 3.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game... Put up a season high 13 points on 12/13 at UTSA along with seven rebounds... Grabbed a season high 11 rebounds on 12/29 vs. Waldorf.

2023-24 (Junior): Played in 15 games, averaging eight minutes per game…scored a season high 14 points against Waldorf on 12/12, playing a season high 20 minutes and also grabbed a season high four rebounds…finished the season with 34 points and 23 rebounds…blocked shots against Valley City State and Omaha…picked up a steal against South Dakota in the regular season finale…shot .667 overall from the field and .909 from the free throw line

2022-23 (Sophomore): Played in 28 games, averaging 9.3 minutes per game…got his first career double-double against Wisconsin-Stout with 12 points and 12 rebounds, it was his first career game with double digit boards…averaged 1.9 points per game and 2.8 rebounds per game…finished the year with 11 assists, eight blocks and five steals

2021-22 (Freshman): Appeared in all 31 games, with one start ... Poured in three double-digit scoring performances ... Paced UND with seven boards vs. Milwaukee (Nov. 9) ... Went 4-for-4 at the free throw line at Kansas State (Nov. 28) and pulled down three boards ... Hauled in a team-high eight rebounds and added four points vs. Presentation (Nov. 30) ... Erupted for a season-high 17 points while grabbing five rebounds vs. North Central (Dec. 14) ... Went 12-of-13 at the charity stripe en route to a 16-point performance at KC (Jan. 22) to go with eight rebounds and a block ... Added 10 points at SDSU (Jan. 27).

Before UND: Considered a two-star recruit by 24/7 Sports, Mathews was a dominant force inside for DePaul College Prep as the program's all-time leader in blocks to help his squad capture the Chipotle Clash of Champions title, a de facto state title, in 2021 ... Was named the tournament's most valuable player after scoring 20 points and grabbing five rebounds in the championship game over the No. 11 team in the state ... Rounded out a year full of accolades and honors for Mathews, earning all-city and all-state selections in his final season for the Rams, as well as a two-time All-Catholic League honoree ... Closed out the season as the top-ranked team in Chicago and the No. 23 team in the nation.
