Before UND: Played his first three seasons at Bemidji State ... Scored 24 goals and dished out 34 assists for 58 points in 102 career games ... Set new career bests in goals (10), assists (21) and points (31) last season ... Paced the Beavers in assists ... Ranked second in points ... Scored 12 power play goals in his collegiate career to rank tied for 12th nationally among all skaters over that stretch ... Represented his home nation of Norway at multiple IIHF events, including most recently at the 2024 IIHF World Junior Championships. 

Personal: Father, Trond Magnussen, enjoyed a long professional hockey career in Europe and captained the Norwegian national team for nearly a decade ... Will join Ludvig Hoff (2016-19) as the second Norwegian to play at North Dakota.
