Cross country (Senior): Competed in two events … Logged a season-best 28:53.5 in the 8k at the Ron Pynn XC Duals.
Indoor (Junior): Ran in two meets … Ran a season-best 2:01.65 in the 800-meters at the UND Tune-Up … Also competed in the 600-meters at the SDSU Holiday Open & Multi, running a 1:28.01.
Outdoor (Junior): Competed at four events in the 800-meters … Ran a season-best 1:57.83 in the event at the Ron Masanz Classic.
2016-2017
Cross Country (Sophomore): Did not compete in any meets.
Indoor (Sophomore): Earned a place on the Big Sky Winter All-Academic Team ... Helped UND to a seventh-place finish at the Big Sky Indoor Conference Championship in the distance medley relay … The team clocked the fourth-fastest time in UND history.
Outdoor (Sophomore): Earned a new personal record in the 1,500-meter run … Clocked a time of 4:16.92 at the Jim Duncan Invitational … Earned second track letter.
2015-2016
Cross Country (Freshman): Did not compete in any meets ... Earned first letter.
Indoor (Freshman): Made his collegiate debut at the SDSU Holiday Invitational (Dec. 5) with a third-place showing in the 800-meters … Earned third place at the Bison Classic with an 800-meter run of 1 minute, 59.63 seconds … Helped UND place 10th in the distance medley relay at the Big Sky Conference Indoor Championship … Their time of 10:42.2 was 10th-best in school history.
Outdoor (Freshman): Named to the 2016 Big Sky Spring All-Academic Team … Earned first track letter.
Before UND
A 2015 graduate of Hibbing High School … Lettered six times in track as a prep … Earned all-area honors and was a state tournament participant in 2014 … Lettered four times in soccer at Hibbing High and was the All-Area Player of the Year … Also received his team’s MVP award in each of his last two years … Lettered twice in hockey and received the 2015 Hobey Baker Character Award.
Personal
Majoring in social studies education … Son of Mike and Becky Fenstermacher … Older brother, Jesse Fenstermacher, was on the UND track team from 2010-11 through 2014-15.
