2009: Earned first team All-Independent honors after leading the Sioux in nearly every offensive category … Twice named Great West Player of the Week (March 30 and April 20) … Earned Team MVP honors after ranking first on the club in home runs (10), RBI (51), hits (66), batting average (.393), slugging percentage (.673), on-base percentage (.459), total bases (113) and triples (two) … His 66 hits and 51 RBI both tied for the fourth-best totals in UND single-season history … Held down the No. 3 spot in the batting order in all 43 games – only Sioux player to manage that feat … Started 42 of 43 games at first base and served one game as the designated hitter … Led the team with 21 multi-hit games and 16 multi-RBI games … Posted a team best 15-game hitting streak during the season … Went 28-for-62 (.452) with five home runs and 20 RBI during the streak … Belted a three-run homer in the top of the ninth inning to lift Sioux to first Division I victory at Missouri State (March 6) … Went 7-for-9 with eight RBI in doubleheader at Concordia (April 18) … Closed the season hitting safely in four-game series (6-for-15, seven RBI) at Northern Iowa (May 8-10) … Scored a career-high three runs in a 12-4 win over the Panthers (G2, May 9) … Had a pair of four-hit contests at Concordia (G2, April 18) and at South Dakota State (G2, April 20) … Set the school single-season records for chances (407) and putouts (386) … Earned a spot on the Coastal Plain American All-Star team … Played first base for the Edenton (N.C.) 2008: Only saw action in nine games due to injury ... Made seven starts and batted .524, going 11-for-21 in his limited action ... Collected three extra-base hits, including a pair of doubles and his first collegiate home run ... Homer came during an 11-1 victory over Minnesota, Crookston (Mar. 30) and proved to be the game-winning hit in the third inning ... Earned first letter.

Before UND: Earned four letters in baseball and three letters in basketball ... Was named the Hibbing Tribune Player of the Year in 2005 and 2006...Was named to the all-state tournament team in 2005 ... Was named a Minnesota Baseball Coaches All-star ... Played in the Lions All-Star game ... As a senior, Magner hit .420 with six home runs and 34 RBI.
