2018 (Junior): Played in 16 matches, starting 14 in defense ... Part of a defense that only allowed 10 goals all season (0.57 goals against average), the best in The Summit League ... Finished the season with one assist, dishing to Olivia Knox against Omaha (Oct. 11) ... Appeared in eight of North Dakota's shutouts, missing only the Minnesota Duluth match (Sept. 5).

2017 (Sophomore): Played in all 18 games and started 16 of them, both career highs … Also logged a career-high 1,386 minutes, fifth-most on the team … Tied for seventh on the team in both shots (7) and shots on goal (3) … Earned second letter.

2016 (Freshman): Appeared in 17 games and made four starts … Tied for second on the team in goals (2) and tied for third in points (6) … Scored her first career goal in her collegiate debut at South Dakota (Aug. 21), a 1-0 UND victory … Also scored in an Oct. 23 loss to Eastern Washington … Earned first letter.

Before UND: A 2016 graduate of Mahtomedi High School where she lettered four times in soccer … Named all-conference and a team captain in 2015 … Helped her team to a Minnesota State 3A third-place finish … Three-time honor roll recipient … Played four seasons of club soccer with the Twin Cities Fire.

Personal: Majoring in social science … Daughter of John Yapello and Sandy Sampair … Older sister of UND teammate Mara Yapello … Cousins Brandon Sampair (St. Cloud State) and Charlie Sampair (Minnesota Duluth) played collegiate hockey.
