Fighting Hawks Life Skills Program
The University of North Dakota’s Athletics Department recognizes the commitment our student-athletes make to their academics, athletics and future. We developed the Fighting Hawks Life Skills Program to support their transition while at UND, focusing our programming in three major areas; academic excellence, personal development and career development.
MISSION
The mission of the UND Fighting Hawks Life Skills Program is to assist our student-athlete population in their total development as students, athletes, and individuals.
TESTIMONIALS
“It is important that student-athletes graduate with skills, talent and knowledge that help them in the real world - skills and talents other than their athletic abilities, and knowledge other than what was learned in the class room. That's what our life skills programming is designed to do!” -- Amanda Hajdu, Athletics Academic Services Director
“Life skills has taught me how to be a better leader for my teammates on and off the field, but also how to be a better role model for the youth of my community. I truly believe that the life skills program is extremely beneficial for any athlete looking to strive in their sport but also help following generations learn to become leaders. We are Leaders of the Nest Generation, Go Hawks!” -- Sabrina Majerczyk, Women’s Soccer
