Box ScoreBEMIDJI, Minn. -- UND senior forward Jenna Barr (Collingwood, Ontario) tied a school record with four goals to lead the Sioux women's soccer team to a 5-0 shutout win at Bemidji State this afternoon.
UND junior Shannon Murphy (Inver Grove Heights, Minn.) also scored for the Sioux--her second goal of the season--and junior goalkeeper Ashley Rohwer (Andover, Minn.) played all 90 minutes to record the shutout, as North Dakota upped its season record to 2-0 overall.
Barr, who came into the game with just five career goals in her first two seasons at UND, became just the third Sioux player to ever score four goals in a game and the first since former Sioux Stephanie Pfeiffer scored four against the University of Mary on Sept. 26, 2003. Pfeiffer also scored four goals against Winona State on Sept. 7, 2003. The first UND player to tally four goals in a game was April Bielejeski, who did it on Sept. 15, 1999 at Bemidji State.
Next up for UND is a non-conference match at Jamestown on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
