FARGO, N.D. - The UND women’s tennis team picked up another win in their rematch against Minnesota State University-Moorhead defeating them by a score of 8-1.

The Sioux won all three doubles matches, and got wins in the number one through five singles matches.

In the last match against Moorhead, head coach Tom Wynne gave his seniors the day off.  This time seniors Erin Sullivan (Bemidji, Minn.) and Shauna Differding (Valley City, N.D.) returned to the lineup winning easily at the one and two singles spots. Also, Erin Sullivan teamed up with Emily Callison (Mesa, Ariz.) at number one doubles to pick up another win, and Differding paired up with Lindsey Folkert (Bemidji, Minn.) to get a win at number two doubles.

The other wins for the Sioux came from Callison at the number three singles spot, Folkert at number two singles and Mollie Sullivan (Bemidji, Minn.) at number five singles. Also, Mollie Sullivan teamed up with Erica Nelson (Brainerd, Minn.) to win the number three doubles match.

“The Sullivan girls had a good outing both winning handily,” said Wynne.  “Another Bemidji girl, Lindsey Folkert, also had two victories, so I should send Bemidji High School a thank you note!”

With the win, the Sioux improve their overall record to 8-3 with a 4-1 record in the NCC.

The Sioux tennis team doesn’t return to action until after spring break when they will host the University of Minnesota Crookston on Thursday, March 23 at Center Court Fitness Club.
